More than two out of five people have high cholesterol levels,

according to NHS figures in England, putting them at significant risk of developing heart disease, thus, in England about 6.5 million adults are taking lipid-lowering drugs such as statins.
Fit Cheese is lactose and cholesterol free and made using traditional methods (cheddar crafting) and with added vegetable oil. It contains 80% and 15% less saturated fat and calories than cheddar, respectively.

Fit Cheese is aimed at the millions of people who take statins to reduce their cholesterol and who are advised by medics not to eat high cholesterol foods such as cheese. It will also appeal to 30 million other consumers in the 45+ age group who want to eat more healthily and manage cholesterol in future.
