Milk is the main supplier of calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and vitamin D in the diet of children aged 2-18. It can be said that 73% of the calcium in food comes from milk and its products.

In 2020, a report from the United States Dietary Guidelines Committee was published, stating that 79% of people under the age of 13 do not consume enough dairy. Students relied on school meals to provide their essential nutrients, but because schools were faced with a law restricting the provision of dairy products for several years, access to these nutrients was disrupted.
This law allows schools to provide milk that students are more inclined to consume, and of course, it is in accordance with nutritional standards. Because when students get their favorite flavored milk, in addition to consuming more milk, they participate in other school food programs and less food becomes wasted. In this way, nutrients in dairy products are fully utilized.
This law will make it easier for producers to plan food production for schools.
